in interesting photo - i like the colours. Is the grass out of focus or pixelated or what? Seems a little odd?

Both I suspect. I get quite a lot of noise on the 10D (being way out of date nowadays) and it was shot at 200mm so a pretty lame focus range. I did notice it but really I thought it added a slight surrealness to the shot, made it look less like a photograph you know.
