Show Stopper by Andrew-and-Seven Show Stopper by Andrew-and-Seven
Taken at an Alicante theme park in southern Spain last Sept.

It was a foul afternoon and this was shot on 400ASA with the rain falling all around.

I just love the grace and splendor of these mighty animals when they leap with such accuracy despite I presume being pretty bored.

great b/w shot and again rather silhouette - esque. I love how the composition makes it feel like the dolphins tale fin appears to be her second arm when upon further inspection she is holding the rail on that side with only the fish arm in the air. Both these "mammals" give sleek sleek lines... i'm loving this :+fav:

It's one of my all time faves too. It'll be printed for the wall one day.

Considering it was a grey wet miserable day in Benidorm and I wasn't really expecting any results. Just goes to show... .

I thought this was a studio concept piece when i saw the thumbnail.

Top shot!

but next time, could you get the dolphin to face the other way? & maybe give us a wink too. or a cheeky little smile? Is that asking too much?

oh that is so cool! and slightly surreal too, maybe because the water isn't in the picture and you can't fully see what she's standing on. love the way the light falls so you can't quite see it, couldn't work out what the creature was first time looking! :)

i love the contrast, and also the detail in the water droplets, just a little pity the tail is right at her shoulder, in the small size i wondered what it was, thought it might be part of her arm, lol,

Such grace and agility. So elegant. Great form. Wonderful creature. And that's just the dolphin!

Seriously bloke, lovely capture. In spite of the prevailing conditions you've made the most of the shot. Nice work...

Indeed, don't get me started on the lovely in the wetsuit. She can clean my blow-hole any time. LoL

It was a surprise that a dozen decent shots came out, but I was thanking the lord of photogrpahy for f2.8 lenses.

Contre-jour is when the subject is illuminated from the back of it :)
