Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire August 2007 during rounds 21 and 22 of the Bennetts British Superbikes Championship.
Number 96 in the British Supersport class is Paul Young on his self run Paul Young Racing Triumph 675.
Paul is a friend of mine since I met him 2 years ago after ordering the road going 675 before production started. The dealership I ordered through is called Jack Lilley and they sponsor Paul - you can see the JL logo on his back. We set up a supporter's club and met him that way. He helped design the bike and is a test rider for the Triumph factory so is almost a celebrity really.
During last year - both our first years doing this although Paul has been a racer for more years than he'll care to remember - I helped him a lot in the garage as he was usually without mechanics, and so we always stop and have a chat. Some of my pics are on his website PaulYoungRacing.com.
This actual pic was taken from a rare vantage point accessed by tramping through nettles and trees, then the trick was to not fall on the track while leaning over the bank. It was technically difficult because there was no real 'lead' time to follow the bikes - they just appeared!
And I imagine this will take me over the 10,000 page view threshold too, which makes it doubly special
Damn......I don't like faving too many of one persons stuff but how can I not fave this lol.
I have yet to go look at the 675 in person seeing how the closest dealer here is close to 2 hours away...well...better than before when the closet dealer was 3.5 hours away if not more cause of horrible traffic but I digress.
This is a great shot bro...seeing how I'm not a photographer it would be almost impossible for me to critique a shot ... and I just find this shot incredible. I've seen lots of good bike shots but yours always seem to just look better than others I've seen. Must be the angles at which you get them......ahhh...whatever the reason..it's just great.

The 675 is a fine beast, I love mine and Paul reckons there is a series winner there but he hasn't the budget to do enough to it. As if 140+ horsepower (back wheel) and 157kilos weight aren't enough........
He's been helping Gary McCoy set up the World Supersport 675 team too, so he know's his onions.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
