Taken at Oulton Park during the British Superbike Championship this year. It was a mostly wet event which is hardly a surprise with it being held in the British summer.
Motorsport fans will note the wet tyres on Scott Smart's Hawk Kawasaki ZX-10R, these tyres are said to give as much grip in the wet as normal road tyres give us in the dry. Which is a lot.
For the racers, it's more about being smooth and avoiding the painted kerbs and lines on track.
Scott is clearly doing his best to dry out the track for his next lap.
I really like the shot, esp the flames.
I can just imagine riding on the road with them after a long rain ....I would feel like a superhero blasting through traffic
But my mate's tyres cost him £150 the pair and last for ages if only used in the wet since you don't go hard enough to rip them up like dry tyres. And you can ride like a Rossi !!!
