Well yesterday DA was running like a three legged dog so only two of my intended 4 were uploaded before I lost my rag and resorted to swearing and drinking red wine.

This is one of the most beautiful shots I think I've ever taken and I don't mind saying it.

Most of the wonder is down to the weather and the land. All I did is handle the camera and a wee bit of colour saturation in Lightroom.

Derwentwater on Xmas Day by *Andrew-and-Seven Comment by =Voracious-Vixen "The shot is superb and almost looks like a painting. The colours, lighting and reflections gives the viewer a feeling of calm, the feeling that you could just sit there and look at it for hours." Yee-ouch, that's marvelous! I think I once took a photo from about the same place in January a few years back. I lost the hard drive it was on though... Oh well, yours is better anyway!

I've taken a few around the lake district actually, I'm part of a walking club that goes there quite often. Langdale was my favourite.

Just like a painting, Andrew, just like a painting. Glorious setting and perfectly captured. It's no surprise you say it's one of your best. It is...

Gorgeous. I love derwentwater.
I have spent my life walking the fells of the lakes and trying to be as miserable as wainwright.
Derwntwater an Buttermere are probably the most beautiful places on gods earth.
Nice one
Thanks for putting a smile on my face.
